This one changes what we can do for you. DSC is now an authorized Genetec channel partner. That means we are certified to design, install, and support the Genetec portfolio. Genetec is one of the most respected names in security software in the world. If you've never heard of Genetec, that's fair. They don't advertise to building owners. They sell only through certified partners, and their systems run quietly behind the scenes at airports, city governments, energy companies, universities, and Fortune 500 campuses. When an organization can't afford to get security wrong, Genetec is often the platform behind the badge readers and the cameras. Now that platform is available through DSC, backed by the same local team you already know. ### Why This Matters Most security systems grow in pieces. A camera system goes in one year. Access control comes later, from a different vendor. License plate recognition gets bolted on after that. Each system works, but none of them talk to each other. Your team ends up jumping between screens, and the full picture never comes together. Genetec was built to solve exactly that problem. Their core platform is called Security Center. It brings video, access control, license plate reading, intrusion, and communications into one place. Not "integrated" in the loose sense — unified. One interface. One map of your facility. One timeline of events. When a door forces open at 2 a.m., the video, the access record, and the alert all show up together. For facility managers and operations leaders, that means faster answers, fewer screens, and less time spent stitching a story together after something goes wrong. ### A Look at the Genetec Portfolio Here's a plain-language tour of what we can now bring to your facility. **Security Center** is the foundation. It's the unified platform everything else plugs into. It's open architecture, which means it works with a wide range of cameras and door hardware — including equipment you may already own. You're not locked into one brand of camera for the life of the system. **Omnicast** is the video management system inside Security Center. It handles live viewing, recording, and playback for everything from a dozen cameras to thousands. Built-in analytics help your team spot what matters instead of staring at walls of video. **Synergis** is the access control side. It manages doors, cardholders, and credentials, and it runs on non-proprietary hardware. If you've ever been stuck with a system only one company could service, you know why that matters. **AutoVu** reads license plates automatically. It identifies vehicles at gates, parking garages, and entry points. That's useful for multi-tenant properties, campuses, and any site where vehicles are part of the security picture. **Security Center SaaS** brings the platform to the cloud. It's a hybrid option, so you can run some things on-site and some in the cloud, and shift over time as it makes sense for your budget and your IT team. **ClearID and Mission Control** round out the portfolio. ClearID handles physical identity and visitor management — think self check-in and automated access requests. Mission Control is decision support: when an incident happens, it guides your operators through the right steps, every time. ### Why Genetec Chose to Certify DSC — and Why We Pursued It Genetec doesn't hand out partnerships. Their channel program requires real training, technical certification, and a track record of doing complex work well. Our team put in the hours because we believe this platform fills an important spot in our lineup. We've always said we're a platform-flexible integrator. We design around your needs, not around one manufacturer's catalog. Adding Genetec gives us a true enterprise-grade, unified option for clients who have outgrown piecemeal systems. Think multi-site operations, regulated industries, and facilities where downtime is costly. It also fits how we like to work: one partner, accountable from design through installation, service, and long-term support. Genetec's open platform makes that promise easier to keep, because your system can grow and change without starting over. ### What This Means If You're a Current DSC Client Nothing about your existing system changes. We'll keep servicing what you have, on whatever platform it runs. But if you've been weighing an upgrade — or you're tired of running three systems that don't talk to each other — this is a good time to have a conversation. We can walk your facility, look at what's working, and show you what a unified platform would actually look like for your operation. No pressure, no rip-and-replace pitch. Often the right answer builds on equipment you already own. ### Let's Talk We're proud of this one. It took real work to earn, and it opens doors — literally — for the organizations we serve across Texas. If you'd like to see Genetec in action or just want to ask what it might mean for your facility, give us a call at ([713) 464-8407](tel:7134648407) or reach out at [info@thinkdsc.com](mailto:info@thinkdsc.com). We're happy to show you around the platform.
