The 2016-2017 school year is nearly upon us.  With the new school year comes a brand new set of security compliance standards courtesy of State Bill 507.  State Bill 507, or SB 507, was passed to provide an additional layer of protection for Special Education students.  The bill mandates the standards and requirements for the placement of security cameras and microphones in Special Education classrooms.  School administrators across the state of Texas have been working diligently over the past year to tackle the logistical and financial requirements of SB 507, which becomes effective this school year.
